The movement of the rivers and the attendees at this gathering symbolize two individuals who share similarities.
Unlike a strictly factual approach, the film addresses its topic more reflectively and philosophically. The narrator observes and challenges audience-directed thought and reflection using lyrical language.
The Mela grounds, in reality, are full of a cacophony. Conversely, Maestro Ilaiyaraaja's musical genius enhances the soundscape of the setting featured in the movie. `The music is also interspersed with several live sounds, including sadhus chanting slokas, Vedic scholars reciting the Vedas, and devotees conducting puja. The soundtrack not only creates an atmosphere but also transports the listener to the heart of one of the most ancient locations.

The prime themes of this documentary are Nature, Humanity and Religion.

At the Maha Kumbh Mela, we can see nature, humanity, and religion coming together to make the event magical and magnanimous. The Hindus consider that dipping in the confluence of the rivers Ganga and Yamuna while spending their time at the Mela performing rituals and serving others will enhance their spiritual life by gaining good karma. There are also many who believe that dipping in the waters is an act of redemption or salvation.

The film SADHANA is proof that the Hindu religion has been passed down through generations among a vast population through the diverse methods of rituals and congregations with respect to the elements of nature. â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹

The film respects the characteristic of Hinduism: that by living in harmony through pure devotion, worship, well-intended rituals, and meditation, humans can transform themselves into realized human beings and thus make the world a better place. â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹

In a world that has experienced many calamities over ages, the Maha Kumbh Mela has survived many centuries, if not millennia. We urgently need films that depict nature, humanity, faith, and the resilient spirit of human survival.

The film serves as a witness to unique spiritual event in the world.

As the film is a record of the largest peaceful human gathering on the planet, the film will be relevant in all times to come.

The Maha Kumbh Mela’s ageless antiquity can only be matched by composer Maestro Ilaiyaraaja who is also known for his spiritual life

This film will be one more reminder that we are an ancient country with a large cultural heritage.

This film was shot during the 2013 Maha Kumbh Mela, the 2019 Ardh Mela, and the 2025 Maha Kumbh Mela festivals, which are the largest peaceful human gatherings on the planet.

The film shows people congregating in the Sangam area during the Shahi Snan, the most auspicious time.

The film has beautifully captured millions of people traversing pontoons both during the day and at night, processions of Naga Sadhus, Hindu Gurus, and devotees.

Scenes such as the Ganga Aarti, Anna Dhaan and processions, large number of tents, bathing and sadhus blessing pilgrims and tourists are unique to the Maha Kumbh Mela and India.
